The Granary, Boston Wedding - Zoe & Mark
Mark And Zoe - AKA Mr & Mrs Large initially decided that they weren't actually going to have a wedding photographer for their big day as neither of them particularly like posing for photographs - Which is one of the reasons that they found me in the first place. They wanted everything to be natural which, as I'm sure you know by now, is exactly how i like to photograph my bride and grooms.
The way I've always looked at wedding photography is that i should be a part of your day and blend in to the background, not be there to photograph unrealistic moments or control how you want your day to be, but more to capture things as they happen - that's how you capture those precious moments that you will look back on, little smiles or expressions, maybe even a few happy tears or big belly laughs. THAT is what wedding photography should be about.
Mark and Zoe chose The Granary - Elms farm cottages - here in Boston as their wedding venue and I have to say one of the most beautiful venues that we have here in Boston. Ive photographed the Granary a number of times and it never fails to make me smile, from its stunning matured gardens, to perfect indoor natural lighting, this venue is simply stunning.
We started in the stables with Zoe and the girls for the bridal preparations. There was such a buzz of excitement in the atmosphere!
Zoe & the girls looked absolutely stunning as they walked down the aisle to a beaming Mark, what followed was a beautiful and fun ceremony with some fabulous readings - never gonna give you up lyrics being one of them! kudos to that guy haha!
Now the weather gods weren't particularly kind to us on April 27th considering the week before we had a full blown heat wave, the 27th brought us gale force winds, rain and the odd sleet shower, however... it stopped raining just long enough for us to find a secluded spot for everybody to come outside to get some beautiful group shots and for mark and Zoe to have some photographs with their beloved camper van - which also set the theme for their wedding day!
If I could sum up this wedding in a few words it would be full of love, lots of laughter and a most amazing couple. It was an absolute pleasure guys! Wishing you all many years of love and happiness!
