Charlotte & Jack - Whimsical Chic Freiston Priory Wedding Day
Sometimes, every now and again, a wedding will blow you away. Charlotte and Jacks idea for their wedding was to keep it 'personal and relaxed' and that's exactly what it was.
When they first mentioned their wedding venue, surprisingly I hadn't actually heard of it.. Freiston Priory? Ive surely been a Lincolnshire wedding photographer long enough to know all the venues in the area by now? but... Freiston Priory is actually a privately owned manor house in the village that was built in 1130, with the present house is mainly 17th century with Georgian alterations - bit of a history lesson there for you! - the present owners of this spectacular home just happen to be the brides Godparents and they very kindly opened up their spectacular gardens and home for the special day! talk about the wow factor, to make things even easier, its right next door to the church where the couple wanted to marry! result
So I arrived early in the morning to be greeted by some super excited ladies fully enthralled in the wedding preparations and Mel, the home owner, showed me around the rooms to get the detail shots of Charlottes STUNNING dress and details, which is when i got a glimpse of the amazingly laid out tipi's in the gardens - Think its pretty obvious by the mass of photographs below that there was some stunning decoration going on!
Once the ladies were ready i walked next door to the church to meet the chaps, to greet a rather nervous looking Jack who was super excited to see his beautiful bride. The guests arrived in their groups to fill the beautiful church and after a beautiful heartfelt wedding ceremony by Revd. Andrew we walked our way back to the reception for group photographs in front of the house, and party time to begin!
Every little aspect of this wedding was designed to keep it relaxed and for people to enjoy themselves, from the large benched areas, BBQ meal, polaroid guest board... everyone was having an amazing time enjoying the sunshine in the gardens and although we had a touch of rain later on the evening it never stopped this amazing bunch from going to the outdoor bar before hitting the dance floor with their wedding band crossfire.
What can i say guys... I really cant round up this wedding in a few sentences, I could write a book. Instead im going to leave the photographs to do all the talking instead...
Mr & Mrs Carter.... It was an absolute pleasure... #itsacarterthing
