Ive been like an over excited child awaiting the big day of Sadie and Nick, as soon as I met them I knew it was going to be an amazing day, not only are they a fun, relaxed and utterly gorgeous couple, but I've been DYING to shoot at Scrivelsby walled garden.
We started at the Golf Hotel in Woodhall Spa for the bridal preparations, with the hotel recently undergoing a full revamp the interior is now fresh, modern and all cool neutral colours, which worked perfectly with the white and grey colour theme that Sadie & nick had opted for. I arrived to a bustle of excited ladies with hair & makeup in full swing and i began work on the detail shots before the bride took her seat with the hair & Makeup artists. my jaw hit the floor when Sadie unveiled her dress... serious wow factor, infant everything about the colour scheme, floral arrangements, dresses just oozed sophistication along with the perfect amount of class and glamour.
The morning was full of giggles, a few nervous tears and plenty of Prosecco, and once Sadie was in her dress it was time to get ready to head off to the ceremony.
The ceremony was taking place at St Benedict’s Church, on the Scrivelsby Estate. This gorgeous church, which dates back to the 13th century, nestled in parkland and is just a short walk across the meadow from the Walled Garden which was host for the amazing teepee for the new Mr & Mrs Jacksons reception.
The ceremony was stunning, with a wonderful reverend who gave a wonderful service, in what i must say is one of the most beautiful churches I've been to in a long time. Its only tiny, but its lighting is stunning, with its high ceiling, white walls and stained glass. Just perfection.
Once the ceremony was finished we stared to wander over to the walled garden - Que jessy being an excited child i couldn't wait to see what was behind the 'wall' and i have to say it didn't disappoint. A stunning teepee, with gardens that are perfectly manicured, flowers around the borders with walkways cut amongst the long grass, plenty of room for all the guests to enjoy the beaming sunshine and relax for the afternoon.
The speeches took place before the meal, to give everyone chance to relax and enjoy their food, there was lots of laughter and tears along with some serious cringing from the groom at the best mans speech!
Once the formalities (and food) were finished I stole the couple off for a few couples photos which we had decided to leave till later on. This is one of my favourite times, not only does it give the couple chance to have photographs without everyone snapping away on their phones, it also gives them a bit of quality time together, away from all the hustle and bustle - I tend to keep the shots very natural to keep it nice and relaxed and even if its only 15 minutes, its 15 minutes they get together, nobody else, to discuss their day and have a good 'we did it' smooch. The beautiful late afternoon sun was just starting to lower giving the perfect lighting was perfect for portraits.
Once we had done the smoothness we had 2 more groups to do and we decided to have a bit of fun with it so we did a 'beer run'. Now this is perfect if your competitive, playing professional football i knew the groom definitely was and the groomsmen weren't going to let him get away easily, so its relatively simple. first one to the beer, gets the beer... ready..steady...GO - Hilarious!
Before we knew it, evening guests were starting to arrive - DANCE TIME!!!
Guys, it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your day, thank you for letting me capture it, i think its pretty obvious by the sheer amount of photos below how much i loved your wedding day!
